Support and Shout Race Day Volunteer
Cardiff Half Marathon
Date: Sunday 4th October 2026
Location: There are several locations to choose from
1. Starting/Finish point – Race Village, Cardiff City Hall, King Edward VII Ave, Cardiff CF10 3ND
2. Midway Point - Roald Dahl Pass, Cardiff Bay CF10 5BZ - What 3 words ///flank.curve.crazy
3. Outside the Tenovus Cancer Care shop, Albany Road, Cardiff CF24 3LH
Timings: 9am – 1.30pm or whatever time you can offer
Requirements: Minimum age 16
What’s a Support and Shout Volunteer?
Do you love the buzz and excitement of a race day! Can you smile, support and cheer on (loudly!) our runners and be a great ambassador for our cause?
What’s involved?
- General event support
- Setting up a cheer station with our banners and flags
- Welcoming friends and families to our cheer point /post-race reception
- Cheering on our amazing runners as loudly as you can!

Who would it suit?
A confident, chatty, enthusiastic person who can put their heart and efforts into making our runners, friends and families feel appreciated and supported.
Oh, and definitely possessing a loud pair of lungs helps! As well as not minding what the weather may bring!
