About this Opportunity

Support Volunteer – North West First Responder Group

North West First Responder Group (NWFRG) is a volunteer-led charity that supports Community First Responders, delivers free CPR and AED awareness sessions, and funds, installs, and maintains Public Access Defibrillators across communities in the North West.

As a Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our charitable aims. This role is perfect for individuals who want to make a positive difference in their community but do not wish to undertake the operational Community First Responder role.

Support Volunteers assist the charity in a variety of ways, including:

  • Supporting fundraising events and community activities.
  • Assisting with CPR and AED awareness sessions.
  • Helping to promote the charity through community engagement and awareness campaigns.
  • Supporting Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) projects and local initiatives.
  • Assisting with administration, logistics, and behind-the-scenes tasks.
  • Representing the charity professionally at events and public engagements.

No previous experience is required as training and support will be provided where necessary. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated individuals who share our passion for helping others and improving community resilience.

What you'll gain:

  • The opportunity to make a real difference in your local community.
  • Experience working within a growing charity.
  • Training and personal development opportunities.
  • The chance to meet like-minded volunteers and build new skills.
  • Recognition for your volunteering through recorded volunteer hours and community achievement awards.

Time Commitment:

This is a flexible volunteering opportunity. You can volunteer as much or as little as your circumstances allow, with opportunities available during evenings, weekends, and at community events throughout the year.

Whether you can spare a few hours each month or would like to become more actively involved, we'd love to hear from you and welcome you to the North West First Responder Group team.

What to Expect After Applying

Once we receive your application, we will contact you to request some additional information and begin the volunteer onboarding process, which includes a DBS check. You will then be invited to an informal Microsoft Teams interview with a member of our team. If your application is successful, you will be issued with an NWFRG ID card and formally welcomed to the charity. Once your ID card has been received, you can begin volunteering and attending events and activities coordinated by your Area Coordinator.
