About the Role
Area Coordinators are volunteer leaders responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of North West First Responder Group activities within a designated geographical area. They play a vital role in supporting volunteers, coordinating local operations, developing community relationships, and helping the charity achieve its aims of supporting emergency care, delivering CPR & AED awareness sessions, and improving access to public defibrillators.
As an Area Coordinator, you will act as the primary point of contact for volunteers in your area and work closely with the charity's Senior Leadership Team to ensure activities are delivered safely, professionally, and in line with the charity's policies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support volunteers within your designated area.
- Act as the first point of contact for local volunteers and provide guidance, support, and encouragement.
- Coordinate local volunteering activities, events, fundraising initiatives, and community engagement opportunities.
- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of volunteers.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive volunteer culture.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local organisations, community groups, businesses, and stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of CPR & AED awareness sessions within the community.
- Identify opportunities for the installation and maintenance of Public Access Defibrillators (PADs).
- Ensure local activities are conducted in accordance with charity policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and provide updates to the Senior Leadership Team when required.
- Support fundraising activities and ensure any funds raised are handled in accordance with charity procedures.
- Represent North West First Responder Group professionally at meetings, events, and within the local community.
