About the Organisation

Southwark Libraries

Southwark Libraries aim to provide a twenty first century service to all its users. The Children’s Library Services at Southwark Libraries actively seek ways to promote the welfare of its young people. There are many Library activities aimed at promoting the educational, social and emotional well being of our young people. Southwark Libraries recognise that volunteers can play a valuable role in assisting the public in their use of local libraries.  They may have skills and experience that add value to the ways in which libraries help and support people in accessing information, learning opportunities and participating in social events such reading groups. Our Homework Study Support Service is accredited with the Quality in Study Support (Qiss) quality mark by Canterbury University.
