Could you be the friendly face of your local British Heart Foundation shop? With support around you and full training provided, you will be processing sales through the till as a volunteer cashier, talking to customers and thanking every donor - helping us continue to fund life saving research. This is a customer focussed role where you will meet and interact with a wide range of people.

If you’d like to make a difference behind the scenes, if you’re a keen rummager or if you like things to be neat and tidy, then we have a role for you - helping in our BHF shop stock room. If you love a bit of ironing, then master the clothes steamer and watch those wrinkles disappear (it’s surprisingly therapeutic!), or become a clothes tagger extraordinaire, allowing customers to understand what item they are purchasing. If you want a hands-on volunteer role behind the scenes or just fancy the company of other friendly volunteers our shop stock room is the place to be.

Online selling is a fast growing and exciting way to retail in the digital age, so if you would like to get involved in this, come join us at your local BHF shop and help create online sales listings to promote the varied items that we sell. Maybe you already know your way around online selling platforms or maybe it’s something you want to find out more about, either way you will be fully supported in this volunteer role to make sure you develop the skills and experience needed to become an expert online lister. Get the satisfaction of seeing the items you list sell for the best possible prices, knowing this will be helping us continue to fund life saving research.

We are urgently looking for Shop Volunteers to help with serving customers, sorting and pricing goods, making displays, and other roles.

Our Shop Volunteers are an important part of the work we do at Princess Alice Hospice. On over 40 high streets, they help our shops turn takings directly into outstanding care.
