v20
The charity's youth advisory board from 2008, twenty young people aged 16 to 25, replaced each year, four of whom also sat on the board of trustees.
A programme of the vInspired charity, 2008 onwards. Updated on 13 September 2026
What it was
v20 was the vInspired charity’s youth advisory board, announced in May 2008: twenty members aged 16 to 25, replaced every year, four of whom also sat on the charity’s board of trustees. Its first task was to work on the vCashpoint grants programme, launched the following week.
What it did
The board’s members wrote in their own voice on the charity’s blog. One post describes a v20 delegation at an event in Parliament alongside NCVYS, Hope UK and the Prince’s Trust Young Ambassadors. Another records seven members, the v20 Cyberteam, reviewing the digital identity chapter of the charity’s Anatomy of Youth report, which found that 42 per cent of 16 to 24 year olds knew someone embarrassed by content posted about them without consent, and that 60 per cent of 14 to 21 year olds had never thought about the future consequences of what they posted.

What happened
v20 ended with the charity in November 2018. The 2008 announcement still links to the board’s old address, which is why this page exists.
