About us
St Joseph’s Hospice looks after and supports people over 18 years of age with incurable life limiting conditions. We aim to help people to ‘live’ with their illness as comfortably and independently as they can. We also aim to support friends, families and carers who may also be affected by an individual's illness.
Volunteering opportunities
The fundraising team seek volunteers to help raise a significant amount from donated items, at our pop up shop & 4-yearly jumble sales due to urgent need to sort donated items quickly, ready for sale.
St Joseph’s Hospice is currently recruiting complementary therapy (CT) volunteers to join our growing CT team in Hackney as well as our satellite service in Newham.

The Drinks’ Trolley at St Joseph’s Hospices visits our wards twice a day to offer patients free alcoholic/soft refreshments & chatting to patients, family & friends.
St Joseph’s Hospice Hackney are recruiting skilled, dedicated enthusiastic complementary therapy practitioners to join the hospice team. We currently require massage therapists and reflexologists.
Dementia Wellbeing East London Service (Formerly Namaste Care) is not a medical treatment, it is an internationally recognised programme developed to improve the quality of life for people with advanced dementia.

The purpose of Islington Bereavement Service is to offer emotional, social and practical support to bereaved adults living in Islington.
The ground floor Community Hub is home to Joe’s Café and gift shop, stocking St Joseph’s merchandise and greetings cards etc. Our café sells a range of freshly baked cakes, snacks, hot & cold drinks
