Anti Bullying Week 2014: Do Your Bit to End Bullying
Join the Movement Against Bullying
Research conducted by the Anti-Bullying Alliance highlights a troubling reality: 1 in 10 young people experience bullying, and this number skyrockets to over 8 in 10 for young individuals with learning difficulties. This is unacceptable, and it’s time we take a stand.
Martha Evans of the Anti-Bullying Alliance aptly summarizes the challenge: “Bullying is a behavior choice, one which parents, carers, teachers, and the community must work together to change. Educating schools and wider communities that bullying in any form is wrong, and that any environment that encourages bullying, or shows indifference to prejudice and discrimination, is unacceptable.”
