Channels and Posts
Publish what happened, sort it into channels, and let the year write itself up as it goes.
Read from the same files the product reads, so this page cannot claim something the code does not do. Everything Vinspired does
A post is an update published by your organisation: what happened at the weekend, who was recognised, what is coming up. It appears on your organisation profile and in the Vinspired blog, with your name on it rather than ours.
Channels are the labels that sort them. News, case studies, whatever your organisation actually publishes. A reader can filter to the channel they care about instead of scrolling past everything else.
The reason to bother is the report in twelve months. An organisation that posted through the year has the story already written, with dates and pictures, when somebody asks what the year did. An organisation that did not is reconstructing it from a group chat.
Posts are written by your organisation and attributed to it. Vinspired does not write them, edit them or put its own name on them, and unpublishing one removes it everywhere rather than leaving a copy somewhere you have forgotten about.
They are also the half of a report that figures cannot carry. A participation number says how much happened. A post from the week it happened says what it was like, with the names and the pictures, written while somebody still remembered the detail.
A post carries your organisation's own byline, image and date, and it is reachable at a stable address. That matters when the thing you are pointing a funder at has to still be there in eighteen months, which is not something a social platform will promise you.
Nothing about publishing is priced by volume. Post once a term or once a week; the cost is the same, because a charity should not be rationing its own story.
How it works
Three steps
-
Create your channels
The handful of labels your organisation actually publishes under.
-
Write the post
Markdown, a picture, a channel. It publishes to your profile and to the blog.
-
Point at it later
A year of posts is the narrative half of a report the numbers cannot carry on their own.

Questions
Questions people ask
Where do posts appear?
On your organisation profile and in the Vinspired blog, attributed to your organisation.
Who writes them?
You do. Vinspired does not write or edit an organisation's posts.
What is a channel?
A label on a post. Readers can filter by it, so somebody looking for case studies is not scrolling through event notices.
Can we add pictures?
Yes. Storytelling Studio is the tool for making the images that go with them.
Can we take a post down?
Yes. Unpublishing removes it from your profile and from the blog.
