As mentor to a young person between the ages of 11-16, you will meet together on a weekly basis initially at your mentee's school, encouraging and motivating your mentee to make steps towards positive change.

As an online tutor-befriender, you will be using video-conferencing and a variety of online remote learning tools to support the children and young people, aged 8-18, who we work with.

Who are we? One Million Mentors is a unique, community-based mentoring programme, bringing together local young people and volunteer mentors who give an hour a month for up to a year. Since inception, we've successfully partnered with schools, colleges, universities, youth organisations, employer organisations and individuals across the UK to fully train over 3,000 mentors who have positively changed the lives of 5,000 young people. We recruit our mentors from a variety of professional backgrounds and provide them with specialist training and ongoing support. We then match each mentor with a young person aged 14-25 based on the mentee's goals and aspirations, targeting young people with high potential but low social capital. Cards for Bravery is a charity dedicated to brightening the days of hospitalised and seriously ill children, mainly through the distribution of positive uplifting hand-made cards. We are looking for a second TikTok Content Creator Volunteer to help us expand our platform.
