The record is free on Vinspired for everyone. Some programme features are paid for by the organisations that use them, so that the platform never again depends on one funder. Here is why, in plain words.

Set up your organisation profile

Switch to your organisation account, press Settings on the dashboard, add your description, logo, impact areas and skills, then press Save Changes.

Before you start

  • An approved organisation account. You get an email saying your application was approved, with a link to create your password.
  • A square logo, at least 400 by 400 pixels.
  • A few sentences about what your organisation does and who it is for.

Steps

  1. Sign in, open the menu and, under Switch Account, choose your organisation.
  2. On Organisation dashboard, press Settings.
  3. Under Organisation Profile, check the Organisation Name, add a Tagline / Slogan and write About Us.
  4. Upload your Organisation Logo. Add a Profile Header Image if you have one, or pick one of ours.
  5. Tick your Impact Areas and the Skills Offered to the people who volunteer with you.
  6. Add your website and social accounts under Social Links.
  7. Under Agreements & Policies, confirm your Safeguarding Policy. Turn on Reflection prompts if you want volunteers asked how each experience went once you approve it.
  8. Press Save Changes.

What happens next

Your profile is visible to volunteers searching for organisations, with your opportunities, groups and awards on it. The dashboard’s Finish setting up your profile checklist ticks off the logo, the impact areas, the skills and the description as you add them.

Addresses live on a separate screen. Add one under Locations with New location, or from the location card when you create an opportunity.

Common problems

  • You cannot see Settings or the admin menu. You are in your personal account. Open the menu and switch to the organisation under Switch Account.
  • The logo will not upload. Use a square image, ideally 400 by 400 pixels, as a PNG or JPG.
  • The checklist will not complete. It needs all four: a logo, at least one impact area, at least one skill and a description under About Us.
