Trustees' Week

November 9-13 Week

Trustees’ Week takes place from 9 to 13 November 2026, celebrating the nearly one million trustees across the UK who volunteer their time to govern charities.

When is Trustees’ Week?

Trustees’ Week takes place in November (November 9-13). In England and Wales you can be a trustee from 18, or from 16 if the charity is a charitable company or a charitable incorporated organisation. It is one of the many UK awareness days that bring people together around a shared cause: see the full calendar.

Why Trustees’ Week matters

Trustees are volunteers, and charities need boards with a range of skills, ages and backgrounds to make good decisions. Many small charities struggle to find new trustees. Explore community support volunteering.

How to get involved in Trustees’ Week

There are three simple ways to make Trustees’ Week count:

  • Volunteer: look for a trustee role with a charity whose cause you care about. Browse opportunities.
  • Fundraise: help your charity’s board plan a fundraising strategy or a new funding bid.
  • Raise awareness: share what trustees do and encourage people who have never considered it, using #TrusteesWeek.
