Events

Fixtures, trips and one-off events, with a register that gets taken on the day rather than typed up on Monday.

Live Programme

Read from the same files the product reads, so this page cannot claim something the code does not do. Everything Vinspired does

An event is a single dated thing: a fixture, a trip, a beach clean, an open evening. You create it, add who is expected, and take attendance. Attendance is what turns a plan into a record, and it feeds hours and participation without a second entry anywhere.

Public events add a shareable page. The event gets its own link, it can be listed on your organisation profile, and people can RSVP. That is the difference between an event your members know about and an event a stranger can find.

Taking the register on the day is a scan. Every member profile carries a QR code, and short links make the event page something you can put on a poster. Nobody stands at a door with a clipboard and retypes it later.

An event is a page as well as a register. It has a stable address you can put in a newsletter, on a poster or in a message, and it stays reachable afterwards as the record of something that happened rather than vanishing the moment the date passes.

How it works

Three steps

  1. Create the event

Date, time, place, and whether it is for your members or open to anyone.

  2. Share or invite

A public link with RSVPs, a listing on your profile, or a private event for a group.

  3. Take the register

Mark attendance on the day, by scan or by hand. Hours and participation follow from it.

Questions

Questions people ask

What is the difference between an event and a sign-up sheet?

An event is a dated thing with a register. A sheet is a set of slots people claim. Many events use both: a sheet to fill the places, a register to record who came.

Can somebody RSVP without an account?

Yes, on a public event. They give a name and an email. Members who do have accounts get the attendance on their record.

How does the QR code work?

Every member profile carries one. Scanning it on the day marks attendance, so the register is taken where the event is rather than afterwards.

Do events count towards hours?

Attendance at an event classified as volunteering produces hours. Attendance at an enrichment event counts as enrichment participation and stays in its own bucket.

Can an event be private?

Yes. An event that is not publicly listed is visible to your members and to the groups you choose.
