Remedi
Community SupportVolunteer Community Panel Member
Are you passionate about helping people? Do you want to make a difference in your community? Do you want to be part of a team, committed to making a difference? If yes, we’d love to have you as part of our team! Remedi are recruiting and training Volunteer Community Panel Members on behalf of Rotherham Youth Justice Service who are responsible for overseeing children who have offended and supporting them to prevent further offending whilst repairing harm to the victim/s and community. As part of this, Remedi alongside Rotherham YJS, manage children who have been sentenced with a community order at Court, known as a Referral Order. A key part of the Referral Order are the panel meetings which are held every three months of the child’s order. Panel meetings are made up of two Volunteer Community Panel Members, Youth Justice representatives, victim and reparation practitioners and most importantly, the child and their parent/carer. Working together, the panel decide how best to support the child to prevent further offending and how they can make things right by the victim and community. This is where we need you! Remedi are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. You will be required to undertake training to support with this and complete DBS/police vetting where required.
