The record is free on Vinspired for everyone. Some programme features are paid for by the organisations that use them, so that the platform never again depends on one funder. Here is why, in plain words.

Your profile is the record of what you have done. Hours, the activities behind them, the badges and certificates you have earned, and a public page you can send to a sixth form, a university or an employer. It is a page about you rather than a printout from somebody's database.

The word that matters is verified. An hour on your record was approved by the organisation you gave it to, recorded on their register, or confirmed by an external referee over email. Nobody is asked to take your word for it, which is exactly why the record is worth something.

And it is yours. You keep it when you leave a school, when a club ends, when an organisation closes. The first Vinspired closed in 2018 and people lost the record of what they had given. That is the thing this one is built not to repeat.

Volunteers never pay to use Vinspired. There is no level, no cap, and nothing on this side of the loop that costs anything, for as long as you want it.

Nothing on your profile punishes you for stopping. There is no streak that decays, no score that falls, and no public ranking of volunteers against each other. What you did stays done, whether you volunteer every week or once a year.

Your profile also travels between the organisations you give time to. Hours from a school, a charity and a company sit on the same record, so what you show somebody is everything you have done rather than whatever one organisation happened to keep.

Does it cost anything?

No. Volunteers never pay to use Vinspired. There is no time limit and no cap.

What makes an hour verified?

Somebody accountable stood behind it: the organisation approved it, a staff register recorded it, or an external referee confirmed it by email.

Can I add volunteering I did somewhere else?

Yes. You name a referee, they confirm it by email, and it joins your record with that trail attached.

What happens when I leave school?

Nothing. The record is yours. You keep the profile, the hours and every award on it.

Who can see my profile?

Your public page shows your record. What an organisation can see about you is limited to your relationship with them.
