Brockwell Live is a collective of independent festivals that take place in Brockwell Park from 24th May – 2th June 2024. The series covers a broad range of music and culture in one of London’s most beloved and historic parks. Kicking off their range of events is Project 6, a celebration of pioneers of grime and drum and bass.

The Schools Disability Awareness Assistant plays a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging and interactive workshops that promote disability awareness and inclusion among children and young people. Volunteers will visit local primary and secondary schools to help promote understanding, empathy, and inclusive attitudes towards people with disabilities. The Lead Volunteer will lead the session and multiple assistants will help them engage with the children.

We’re looking for volunteers with a ready smile and a few hours to spare to collect donations at the Salford Triathlon and raise essential funds for Teenage Cancer Trust. We’re incredibly excited to have this opportunity to collect at what will be a very popular event.

Who are we? One Million Mentors is a unique, community-based mentoring programme, bringing together local young people and volunteer mentors who give an hour a month for up to a year. Since inception, we've successfully partnered with schools, colleges, universities, youth organisations, employer organisations and individuals across the UK to fully train over 3,000 mentors who have positively changed the lives of 5,000 young people. We recruit our mentors from a variety of professional backgrounds and provide them with specialist training and ongoing support. We then match each mentor with a young person aged 14-25 based on the mentee's goals and aspirations, targeting young people with high potential but low social capital. We are looking for a passionate and engaging individual to join our team as a Secondary School Lead, delivering Disability awareness workshops to young people across secondary schools and sixth forms in Richmond and South West London. Volunteers will visit local primary and secondary schools to help promote understanding, empathy, and inclusive attitudes towards people with disabilities. Help ensure our volunteers are supported, developed, and kept safe. As a Training & Safeguarding Officer, you will assist with the delivery and coordination of volunteer training, support the charity's safeguarding processes, and help maintain a safe and positive environment for volunteers and members of the public. You may help organise training events, maintain training records, promote best practice, and support safeguarding awareness across the charity. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, approachable, and passionate about volunteer development and welfare. Full training and support will be provided where required.
