Start here
Getting started as a student
Sign up, join your school and your tutor group, log your hours after each activity, and apply for a certificate at 10 hours. Your school approves the hours.

Getting started as a volunteer
Create your account, find an opportunity and press Apply now, log hours after each session, and apply for a certificate at 10 hours.

Add volunteering you did somewhere else
Choose Log experience, then External Experience. Name a referee who saw you volunteer, describe what you did and press Submit for Verification.

Claim and share your certificates and badges
At 10 approved hours open Get recognised, open V10 and press Apply. Badges unlock on their own. Share any award with Copy link, LinkedIn or Download PDF.

Create your account
Press Sign up on vinspired.com, add your name, email and a password, or use Sign in with Google. Then confirm your email from the message we send you.

Join an organisation or a group
Open Explore, choose Organisations, open the organisation's page and press Join. An admin approves you. Then press Join next to any group they run.

Log hours for an organisation you belong to
Choose Log experience, then Membership. Add the date, the hours and what you did, then Submit. Your organisation approves the hours.

Why your hours say pending
Pending means nobody has checked the hours yet. An admin approves them, or a referee confirms them by email. Only approved hours count as verified.

Start here
Getting started as an organisation
Complete your profile, add your admins and members, post an opportunity, then approve hours and recognise people. Each step is one screen.

Add members and upload a CSV
Under People choose Members, press Upload users, choose a CSV with email and name columns, pick a group under Assign To and press Upload & Import.

Approve hours and answer referee requests
Under People choose Applications, then Experience Updates, and press Approve on each entry. A referee request comes by email: press the confirm button.

Post an opportunity and handle applications
Under Content choose Opportunities and press Create Opportunity. Turn on Publish Opportunity and save. Applications arrive under Applications.

Set up your organisation profile
Switch to your organisation account, press Settings on the dashboard, add your description, logo, impact areas and skills, then press Save Changes.

Make a group per tutor group, upload your roll, add the staff who check hours, record past volunteering in one go, then approve weekly and celebrate at 10.

Two things people ask
Is Vinspired a charity? No. Vinspired Digital Ltd is a small private company registered in England, company number 14962671. The platform began inside a national charity in 2006, which closed in 2018. We chose a company on purpose: dependence on grants is what closed the first Vinspired. We run it as a mission and pay for it like a business. Read our journey.
Is Vinspired free to use? Yes, Vinspired is free for volunteers, always. Organisations and schools use the record level free too, with no cap on volunteers or students. Organisations that run their own programme on Vinspired pay a flat annual amount, never a price per volunteer or per pupil. Why there is a price.
